Full Job Description
Responsibilities include student supervision, planning and implementing educational STEM enrichment activities for elementary grade children, with a focus on math, and engineering; demonstrating positive behavior management. Other activities may include homework help; reading, indoor and outdoor recreational activities in a team-centered environment. Requirements:
This is a part-time position that requires two weekday afternoons (1:30-5:30 pm) Mon.-Fri. Must be 18 years or older. Have or be willing to obtain CPR certification.
QUALIFICATIONS: Instruction Leaders must be at least 18 years of age and meet one of the following sets of requirements:
Bilingual abilities a plus Have a Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education; and have three months experience working with school-age children; strong math and science background and or skills
Have a high school diploma or equivalent; and have six months experience working with school-age children, including 3 months supervised at a school-age child care program; or
Have nine months of experience with school-age children including three months of supervised experience at a school-age child care program.
All staff must have or CPR and First Aid certification within 6 months of hire; Must be willing to undergo extensive Background Checks & Fingerprinting Job Type: Part-time
Previous experience working with children is strongly preferred
