Job Description:
Building Bridges through Music Summer SMART Program is looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and creative educators and college intern students who are passionate about working with school-age children to join our team! As a Summer SMART Learning Leader. You will be responsible for planning and implementing educational enrichment activities for Kindergarten through 5th-grade children and middle school-age students to prevent summer learning loss.
Responsibilities:

Provide educational support, supervision, and positive behavior management to children.

Plan and implement engaging educational enrichment activities such as tutoring, reading, movement activities, indoor and outdoor recreation, arts & crafts, STEM activities, and music education/instruction.

Maintain accurate logs and positive communication with team members, personnel, and parents.

Bring your best creative self and provide a fun and positive environment for the children.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be available for weekday mornings or afternoons (full-time or part-time).

Must have or be willing to obtain CPR certification.

Must be willing to undergo extensive background checks and fingerprinting prior to hire.

Must meet one or more of the following qualifications:
-
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education with three months of experience working with school-age children.

High school diploma or equivalent with six months of experience working with school-age children, including three months supervised at a school-age child care program.

Nine months of experience with school-age children, including three months of supervised experience at a school-age childcare program.
Preferred Requirements
-
Previous experience working with children in an educational/recreational environment is strongly preferred.

Must be COVID-19 tested with negative results
