Santa works hard, but Building Bridges works harder! 2025 was a spectacular year, filled with music, learning, and lots of fun. However, there's no busier month for BBTM than the month of December. Students and staff alike worked tirelessly to bring holiday spirit to the Lynn Community. Let's do a recap:
BBTM 2025 Holiday Concert: December 11th

On December 11th, BBTM students performed their Holiday Concert. They played Christmas Classics like "Jingle Bells" and "Little Snowflake" and showed off their musical prowess with ensemble pieces "In the Jungle/The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and "Seven Nation Army." After the concert, parents, students, and staff celebrated with hot chocolate and cookies!
Classroom Door Decorating Contest

Every December, BBTM has a "Christmas Door Decorating Contest." Throughout the month of December, each teacher worked with their class to plan, create, and execute a "Christmas Door" design. Then, we invite a valued friend of the BBTM community to come in and judge the doors to pick a winner. This year, we were honored to have Lynn City Councilor Nicole McClain judge our doors. The results are in, and we will be announcing to the students which class won in January. Stay tuned to see which door wins, and what the prize is!
Staff Christmas Dinner: December 17th

Our teachers and staff are the heart and soul behind BBTM. We celebrated all of the hard work put in during the holiday season at Capone's in Peabody. A night of food, laughter, and a Yankee Swap!
BBTM Last Day Before Holiday Break

On the last day before Christmas Break, our organization founder, Mrs. Makkers came in to give gifts to each student before they left for the holidays. Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Makkers uphold a well loved tradition of gifting each student a personalized Christmas present on the last day of the program. This tradition reinforces the joy of gift giving and receiving, and we love seeing the students getting their presents!
Cheers to a great year, and we are excited for what is to come in 2026!
